You’re teaching at the proficiency level, so of course, you take it for granted that they (your students) understand what you’re saying.

Well, don’t!

Half the time they may not understand anything. If they did, they would ask questions when you say: “Does anyone have any questions?”

Children love to sing songs. Think about the time when you were a child. What was your favorite song? What songs did you learn at home and at school?

Summer is an appropriate time to reflect on our teaching and to try out, at leisure, a number of new activities. As we promised in our article last June, we would suggest a number of additional poetry activities for all ages.

Poetry is indeed an excellent way to help our learners develop their writing skills. At the same time, as we have already discussed, it helps them develop their "feel" for words and for the language itself.

Answer:   When working with learners, we may want to provide them with an array of multi-sensory activities.  This activity is great for hands-on learners because it requires the learners to handle the paper circles to form the caterpillar's body and 'reshape' its body parts to revise question formation! The only minor preparation by the teacher is to cut out the 'manipulatives'  for this grammar game, which is designed to help learners practice and consolidate the formation of the interrogative forms of verb tenses that have been presented to them.
