A selection of popular classic tales and new original fiction I am utterly bewildered and overwhelmed. I am struggling my way around the book exhibition at an ELT conference. What a bombardment of books! ‘How do teachers even begin to choose?’ I ask myself. A few years ago I had a break from ELT and had some catching up to do. As I read through the ELT journals I am struck by the multitude of exciting ideas on offer and the wealth of ‘good practice’ available. And I ask myself that same question again: How do we teachers even begin to make choices about what to do in the classroom?
